Your responsibilities
As a Project Manager your scope of activities revolves around managing e-commerce projects of primarily renowned US and Canadian clients, which potentially requires adjusted working hours aligned with the U.S. time zones for more direct collaboration. The projects are usually based on one of the most sophisticated on-demand e-commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SCAYLE by About You or Shopify Plus).
Your responsibilities especially include:
- Technical guidance of internal project staff, supervision and coordination of external partners, ongoing interaction with the clients and reporting to the management
- Acting as a communication interface between all project-relevant parties (client, internal development team, third-party contractors and management)
- Preparation of project plans, briefings, requirement documentation, technical concepts, presentations and functional specifications
- Close collaboration with controlling with regard to quality, costs and adherence to schedules
- Success measurement of implemented tasks as well as derivation of the next optimization steps
- Preparation and execution of project-related workshops
Your profile
You have a university degree or a comparable education in economics, (business-) information technology or a comparable field as well as work experience as a project manager in an IT environment.
You are not an early bird and love to work in the evenings (close to U.S. time zones) to be able to work more closely with our US and Canadian clients.
You work independently and goal-oriented, you are a team player and also enjoy developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems.
In addition, you should also have:
- Practical experience with various project management methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Excellent communication skills and a quick grasp of concepts
- Several years of practical experience in leading project teams and working with clients
- Excellent knowledge of documentation and project management tools in agile environments such as Confluence and Jira
- Quick comprehension and a well-structured, goal-oriented approach to work
- Independence and flexibility
- Fluent English skills (German beneficial)
- Strong interest in different concepts of the project management (especially agile project management)
- Willingness to go on occasional business trips within Europe and to the United States
